Shirominegu Shrine
The shrine dedicated to Emperor Sutoku, also known as Akarinomiya. It is said that after the death of the emperor, the body of the deceased was immersed in fresh water at 88 places, and a divine light shone on it, which led to the construction of the shrine by the order of Emperor Nijo. The Emperor's Temple Koshoin is located on the same site.
