The museum was established to showcase more than 270 prints donated by the family of Higashiyama Kaii, whose grandfather was from Hitsuishijima in Sakaide City.
The building consists of two walls parallel to the coastline, designed to provide views of the sea. (Designed by Taniguchi and Associates)
