Simon Yotsuya Doll Museum Tano-so
四谷シモン人形館 淡翁荘
Built in 1936, the Western-style building "Tano-so" houses the world of Simon Yotsuya's creative and mysterious dolls. The collection features representative works from various periods of Simon's career.
Upon entering, visitors are greeted by "Rene Magritte's Man," and throughout the museum, dolls are hidden in surprising locations.
This doll museum is particularly moving for those familiar with the underground culture of the 1960s.
Though it's called a doll museum, it's not intended for children but rather showcases dolls as artistic works for adults.
