tsuzumigaoka Shrine

There is a burial mound said to be the tomb of King Sarurei-oh in Kitsuoka, and in front of the mound is a shrine dedicated to Emperor Sutoku. The Gikodo, which stands beside the shrine, was built in 1913 on the site of Emperor Sutoku's residence in imitation of his palace, Kinomaru-den.
