きやまじょうし

Site of Kiyama Castle

The entire flat area of the summit is a castle area, and the name “Kiyama” is derived from this. The summit Myojinbara, which protrudes to the east, has an ancient ritual site with giant stones, and was also the site of the Shiroyama Shrine dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane in the 4th year of the Ninna Era (494 AD).
