Starting the Journey at "Seto Ohashi Memorial Park"
The Seto Ohashi Bridge is a massive bridge connecting Shikoku and Honshu. Begin your journey at the Seto Ohashi Bridge Memorial Park, which spreads out at its base! Enjoy a picnic on the spacious lawn area or take photos with the spectacular view as your backdrop. The park features plenty of playground equipment for children and numerous benches for relaxation, making it perfect for spending a leisurely time while enjoying the pleasant breeze.
Experience the Grand Scale at the "Bridge Theater"
At the Seto Ohashi Memorial Museum within the park, you can learn about the construction process of the Seto Ohashi Bridge, one of the 20th century’s largest projects. The “Bridge Theater” is especially recommended, where powerful visuals clearly convey the grandeur of the bridge’s construction and its cutting-edge technology. The newly established “Bridge to the Future” corner will excite you with evolving technologies that connect to the future.
Enjoy a 360-degree Panoramic View Like Walking in the Sky.
Next, head to the famous rotating observation tower, the Seto Ohashi Tower. From the observation room that slowly rotates as it rises 108 meters above ground, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view. Every angle offers perfect photo opportunities with spectacular views. During your 10-minute aerial walk, capture the blue sea below and the Seto Ohashi Bridge with your camera.
Delicious Moments at "Sunshine Picnic Days"
When hungry, visit the popular café Sunshine Picnic Days on the second floor of the Seto Ohashi Tower! Here, you can enjoy homemade sweets and sandwiches while taking in views of the Seto Ohashi Bridge and the sea. There’s also pet-friendly seating, perfect for those with dogs. The stylish atmosphere offers plenty of Instagram-worthy photo opportunities. Through the café’s large windows, you can watch the changing scenery while spending a relaxing, special time.
Art and Nature Intertwined at the "Higashiyama Kaii Setouchi Art Museum"
If you’re an art lover, the next recommended destination is the Higashiyama Kaii Setouchi Art Museum. Located in a prime spot overlooking the Seto Ohashi Bridge, this museum primarily exhibits prints by Higashiyama Kaii, a master of Japanese painting. The museum was established here due to his grandfather’s origins in Sakaide City, creating a deep connection with Kagawa Prefecture. Inside, you’ll find healing in the numerous works that showcase Higashiyama’s delicate touch and harmony with the surrounding nature. While currently closed, it’s a spot worth visiting after reopening.
※Temporarily closed for facility maintenance from September 2, 2024, to early April 2025 (planned). Please check the official website below for details.
To the Scenic Spot "Shamijima Nakanda Beach"
Conclude your trip at Shamijima Nakanda Beach, a spot perfect for beautiful photos with the Seto Ohashi Bridge in the background. This photogenic location offers magnificent views of the bridge across the calm sandy beach. During sunset, the sky and sea merge in orange hues, creating a magical landscape.
