Shami Nakanda Beach

A panoramic view of the Seto Ohashi Bridge and the beach!

“Nakanda Beach” on Shamijima is an attractive spot with gentle waves of the Seto Inland Sea and a beautiful sandy beach.
In particular, the scenery of a single elm tree standing on the beach with the Seto Ohashi Bridge spreading in the background captivates many people.

From the observation deck located a short walk from Nakanda Beach, you can get a full view of the Seto Ohashi Bridge floating over the sea.

Shamijima Nishi-no-Hama (West Beach)

Relax while gazing at the sea

It has the city’s only swimming beach, selected as one of the “100 Best Beaches” by the Ministry of Environment, and is suitable for family swimming.
Shamijima, where you can enjoy history, nature, and beautiful sea, is a recommended spot for those who want to spend relaxing time.
During the festival period, Nishi-no-Hama House offers island bento boxes on weekends.
