Sakaide serves as the stage for the “Seto Ohashi Area” of the Setouchi Triennale 2025. In the Shamijima area, Seijima area, and Ōkoshi area, unique works by various artists are displayed, creating distinctive landscapes that blend with history and nature. Each visit brings new discoveries and emotions, with special experiences that engage all five senses awaiting in every area.
Sakaide is easily accessible from various locations, taking only about 15 minutes from Takamatsu Station, and can be smoothly reached using JR trains or highways. Additionally, we propose environmentally conscious tourism for getting around the city. At the Sakaide City Tourist Information Center inside JR Sakaide Station, you can rent electric-assist bicycles, sports bicycles, and electric bikes, allowing you to enjoy art tours comfortably while feeling the natural breeze without worrying about traffic congestion.
